Rasterize a Figma selection

Rasterize selection exports each selected element as a flat PNG. If you select a whole frame, that frame becomes one image. Use it when you want to keep complex artwork together instead of animating its internal layers.

Import as images

1. Open MotionUI on your computer and run its plugin in the Figma file.

2. Select the layers or frames to flatten.

3. Open the target composition in After Effects, if you have one.

4. Click Rasterize selection in the Figma plugin or the Figma tab of the After Effects panel.

Choose the right tradeoff

A rasterized result keeps the artwork together, but its internal text and shapes are no longer separate editable After Effects layers. You can still animate the imported image layer. Use Send selection when you need the supported parts to remain editable.

Check at the final size

PNG assets have a fixed resolution. Review the result at your final output size, especially if you plan to zoom into the design.
