Create cursor and proximity effects

A proximity effector controls how nearby layers respond. It can drive changes such as scale, movement, rotation, fade or blur, making it useful for cursor-led UI demonstrations.

Create and animate the effector

1. Choose an effector type in Proximity and set its radius and strength.

2. Click New Effector to add it to the composition.

3. Choose an effect preset, or enable the effects and strengths you want.

4. Select the effector and the target layers, then click Apply.

5. Animate the effector position across the target layers and preview the response.

Tune the response

Radius determines the affected area. Strength and the selected effects determine the reaction. Start with a small effect and increase it until the interaction reads clearly at your output size.

Remove an effect

Use Remove Selected or Remove All in the proximity controls. For a cursor graphic without proximity behaviour, use the Cursor tools under More and animate the shape layer directly.
