Use cursor, timing and composition tools

Add a cursor

Open a composition and use Cursor under More to add a ready-made graphic as an editable shape layer. Animate its position to guide attention through the interface.

Duplicate a composition

1. Select or open the source composition.

2. Set a suffix or prefix and the number of copies in the comp duplicator.

3. Choose whether to duplicate nested compositions, footage and solids.

4. Click Duplicate Comp and inspect the resulting project structure.

Shift or reorganise layers

Timing shifts selected layers by a fixed offset. Set the offset in seconds and use Up or Down; Reset Timing restores their timing. Reorganize sorts timeline layers by their positions on screen, using your chosen main direction and fallback.

Reset with care

Center Anchor centres the anchor without moving the layer. Delete Keys removes keyframes, while Preset + Timing removes a MotionUI preset and its timing. Save your work and select only the layers you intend to change before using a reset action.
