Apply entrances, exits and sequences

Animate UI layers with presets and coordinated timing.

The Animate tab provides Slide Up, Slide Down, Slide Left, Slide Right, Fade, Pop, Scale In and Trim Path presets. They create animation you can refine in After Effects.

Apply a preset

  1. Select the layer or layers in your composition.

  2. Under Settings, choose the duration and In, Out or Both.

  3. Click the preset you want.

  4. Preview the composition and refine the result.

Animate several layers in order

  1. Enable Apply to multiple layers.

  2. Choose a direction and a delay for the sequence.

  3. Select the layers and apply a preset. The order is based on their positions on screen.

  4. Use the sequence adjustments to tighten or spread the stagger.

Pick a sensible starting point

Use slides or fades for interface entrances, Pop for a small emphasis and Trim Path for a shape stroke reveal. Keep the direction and timing consistent across related UI elements.
