Create a Figma frame from an After Effects comp

Create frame from comp sets up a Figma frame with the dimensions of your active After Effects composition. It is a starting canvas for a matching design, not an export of the animated composition.

Create the frame

1. Open the composition whose dimensions you want to use in After Effects.

2. Run the MotionUI plugin in the destination Figma file.

3. Open the Figma tab of the MotionUI panel in After Effects.

4. Click Create frame from comp.

5. Continue designing in the new Figma frame, then use Send selection when you are ready to import.

What to expect

Figma may come to the foreground while the frame is created. MotionUI places the new frame on the linked page and uses the composition dimensions so the design and animation share a canvas size.
