Getting started
Install and connect the After Effects panel
Install the panel from MotionUI and check that After Effects is connected.
The MotionUI app provides the After Effects panel and its updates. You do not need to start with a separate panel download.
Connect the panel
Save your work and close After Effects before installing or updating the panel.
Open the After Effects tab in MotionUI. Click Install panel, or Update panel if a newer bundled version is available.
Open After Effects. Open MotionUI from the Window menu under Extensions.
Return to the MotionUI app and check Link to After Effects. An Active status means the panel connection is responding.
If the app says panel silent
After Effects can be running without the MotionUI panel being open. Open the panel first. If you have just installed an update, close and reopen the panel or restart After Effects.
Keep the panel current
Enable Keep the panel current in the MotionUI app. New panel versions supplied with app updates install when After Effects is closed. A waiting update is shown in the app.
